Undergraduate Thesis Paintings
(1993-1994)
Thinking about the four elements and the four seasons, I produced a suite of 18 paintings (14 small and 4 large) for my undergraduate thesis exhibition in May 1994 at Wabash College, Crawfordsville, Indiana. All works were made with a variety of materials including acrylic, ink, charcoal, and pencil on raw, unprimed canvas. The final small painting in the long frieze was simply a blank canvas, an early conceptual / monochrome work.
